what i did this sunday 15/02/09

After a long time.. I started blogging. I don't know why this gap came. But it came. I feel it is like meeting a childhood friend after a long time. This is my first blog after I came to Netherlands.

Today all the family went to Tirumala as it is Deepak's puttuventrukalu ceremony. I would like to see his photos with shaved head.

I was digging into the yesterday installed new OS on my laptop i.e. Ubuntu. I have problem with connecting to my router. Strange is it is connecting to other networks that I can access but not to my own. In that process I started learning Unix commands etc. It is nice that I started learning again. Again after a long time. Ha ha. Better late than never.

Today I saw a telugu blog "Kaumudi" means example (I also learned after searching in telugu dictionary online). Their library had some telugu novels and stories in pdf. I liked it and signed their guest book in telugu using "lekhini". I saw a telugu movie "koncham ishtam koncham kashtam". As the name tells it is little difficult- to watch. ha ha

Then today is fruits day. Good for health. Thats all for now. bye

what i did this sunday 18/03/07

I was just busy with exams and projects for the last 2 weeks. so i could not post anything.
this saturday i came to my old room. old friends and old food it was good. they arranged a small tv in room. so saw the match till end like every optimistic indian if some miracle may happen and we may win against bangladesh in the world cup first match. abbe nothing. repeated same old result. lost terribly.
then sunday came to my friend room had nice roti and stayed woke up full night.
downloaded books for 3rd level course and helped him in his work and posting this.

What i did on this sunday?-18/02/07

First thing was i need not woke up today becoz i didnt sleep yesterday.i thought of sleeping at 5'o clock but told to myself today i m going to do something different.Immediately i went for walk.i could meet many people on road like newspaper and milk boys.bought a telugu and an english paper.had tea-contrary to my oth of not having tea,coffee and cool drinks.walked about 2 km and while coming back it was drizzling. i thought it s raining becoz of me. ha ha. after coming back to room sat on the wall of terrace wherei can see the front main road and rain cant touch me.the experience of reading telugu paper in rain withoutcompletly drenched but a few drops now and then and here and thereworth a life living... ifelt. the flower in the garden of opp house fallen down saying yes to my thoughts..i thought of watching sun rise as i used to but it was cloudy more than it was not usual so i couldnot do usual things.
then took bath and went to a Ganesh temple nearby. offered him cocounutand bananas. then had poori-again contrary to me as dipped in hot oil!!.went to anna university with my friends to see what they r doing for their anniversary day. but contray to usual i found all the stalls were closed-meight b due to elections. then went to spencers and found many upto 50% offers. went into almost all the branded shops just for fun.then bought 2 t-shirts in pantaloons contray to ususal.. ha ha

saarang 2007-day1-Global Rythems

yesterday saarang celebrations started at IIT Madras. i attended with one of friend. it was a music concert by Global Rythms.they played fusion music. they play all the music types of world with fusion.yday they played indian music fusion with western. i didnt hav a good opinion on this kind of music as some what purist -i m. i hav to consider my opinion on hearing their performance. it was wonderful experience. like always i feel i m lucky like other 2-3 thousand who could witness the event. some of the troup memebers previouly performed with A.R.Rehman for jan 1st at bombay. some of their numbers include ecstacy and shakalaka baby and some ragas of A.R. from his film music. one more thing s A.R.'s sister also came and sang 'chaiya chiaya' from dil se(tamil). then we had two dance performance by 3 foreign gals. it was also fine. solo drum beat performance and all other instrument was fine. ok bye. happy republic day. today morning my owner's little daughter came and gave me 2 chocolates and a small india flag which can b put on shirt pocket. i m really touched. when i got up i saw the flag being hoisted on my building. great. felt proud. bye folks. enjoy.

mangalampalli's concert

Today i attended a carnatic concert by mangalampalli balamurali krishna- the legend of carnatic music.the event took place at chinmaya heitage center- chetpet. it gave me sheer joy as first thing to see him so close-a few feet distance- then to listen him live.it was my wish since along time to attend a classical concert. then today at afternoon i saw in paper abt this event and i was ther promptly.
it started at 7 pm with "vathapi ghana.." . i drowned myself into his music. i started listening attentively not just hearing.the joy one should enjoy by oneself-as though the soul taken to a great height. it continued for an hour when the organizers disturbed it for thanks giving all the souls who worked behind the curtains. then it again went on for one more hour till he said 'mangalam'. totally he sang 6 or 7 kirtans-one from tamil and one from hindi.
i felt to take autograph as some were doing but i dont have a paper or book. i also miss to take his photo.simply i stood looking admiringly near the dais.when i came out i was in a trance.the trance continued till i came out and took bus to my place. i felt y cant it b prolonged for some more time. when i started to my room again i felt as if i m dropped from a great height. i heard people feel sorrow after a great joyful experience.
at last i thought if i wont put it down today itself i may miss this beautiful blog.

best novel i ever read

on last friday my father came to chennai. i was waiting for him in koyambedu bus stand as usually i want to kill
this time with a god book. then i happend to go to the nearest book stall and took 'antarmukham' by yandamuri.
it s mentioned tht this was his career's best novel. i got interested and took it.
i started reading and felt it s true tht this s his best novel and also mine. i read many novels but very few could be compared with this. this s about human relations.i felt many times the same feeling as tht of central character. but they r not as intense and pure as of tht guy. i m a mix of his 2 states. probably the correct thing the writer says is he took both selfish and selfless relations and said tht 99 and 1 of our relations r in tht category. sometimes we dont even get tht 1 also. search for tht one and only one.
